I’m a licensed psychotherapist, psychoanalyst, yoga instructor and yoga therapist based in NYC. I use both talk therapy and yoga as tools to develop self awareness, focus, clarity, stability and ease on a physical and an emotional level.
As a psychotherapist, I utilize a variety of approaches to support each individual, including: psychodynamic and insight oriented therapy as well as cognitive behavioral therapy, stress management and mindfulness. When there’s interest I combine yogic principles and therapeutic yoga sessions in conjunction with talk therapy. I currently see patients in my private practice in the West Village.
As a yoga instructor, I incorporate principles from my background in psychology. I strive to offer a safe, non-judgmental environment for students to explore their bodies, observe their minds and confront and overcome their fears, limitations, or obstacles both on and off the mat. I currently teach alignment-based vinyasa and gentle yoga group and private classes all around NYC. I also lead yoga and meditation workshops and retreats worldwide and teach specialized workshops on yoga for emotional well being and trauma relief for mental health practitioners, yoga teachers and yoga students.
